Hi, I have made a lot of bridges for my site to use DeluxeBB so I don't want to update all parts of the code. I'd like to update the WYSIWYG editor so Google Chrome and Safari can use it like on this community as well as update the clickable smilies instead of the old Drag and Drop. Can you tell me which files I need to update and sections of code? Thanks! |

Hey britton, of course I understand your wish to keep your mods. But I think it would be a bad idea to stay on an older version. There are security problems in the older versions which were solved in newer releases. I suggest the following: 1) Sign up for the newsletter on www.deluxebb.com 2) Wait for an email regarding the release of 1.3 (soon) 3) Backup the most important mods and install 1.3 4) Try to recover the mods, of course Ill help you on that I've planned to bring out security fixes for all versions since 1.3 or later. I'll inform about them over the newsletter. So basically you can stay on version 1.3 with your mods and just apply the security fixes... What do you think? |

Can the newer versions use the old templates? I noticed the most recent release doesn't use php files for the template. |

No. The template files in the new version have the ending .dtf. Reason: The php template files can be called and modified over parameters. (they don't call the header.php and are not secured) You shouldnt stay on this old version (which one do you have?), its just a matter of time until something happens... |
